Stephanie Gutierrez is a citizen of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and is the Forests and Indigenous Leadership Director at Ecotrust. Her work focuses on the intersections of foods, fibers, medicines, and Indigenous forest stewardship. Stephanie is the lead organizer for the Indigenous Agroforestry Network and is a founding member of Canopy and Ember: Indigenous Women in Forestry and Wildland Fire.
Stephanie holds degrees from Oregon State University, Humboldt State University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Paul Ohlman provides traditional forestry services in the western region of the United States and holds a Registered Professional Forester(RPF) license from the Board of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) in the state of California. Paul has held many supervisory roles and provides a diverse array of services, including writing forest management plans(FMP’s), RPF supervision and consulting for fuels reduction projects, including the filing of THP exemptions, and facilitation of landowner cost-share programs including as a technical service provider for NRCS-Environmental Quality Incentive Program(EQIP) and CALFIRE- California forest improvement program(CFIP).

As the Research Program Lead at USDA NAC, I work with a group of scientists to provide national leadership in agroforestry, which encompasses a suite of land management practices used to enhance the economic and environmental benefits that occur when trees are deliberately integrated into agricultural landscapes.
